George Zimmerman Arrested

dangerous_personGeorge Zimmerman was charged Monday with felony aggravated assault after allegedly pointing a shotgun at his girlfriend, according to Dennis Lemma, chief deputy with the Seminole County, Florida, Sheriff’s Office.

Zimmerman, who was found “not guilty” earlier this year of murdering teenager Trayvon Martin, was arrested after the incident at the home of Samantha Schiebe, Lemma said. He also was charged with two misdemeanors — domestic violence battery and criminal mischief — in connection with the same incident, Lemma said.

Scheibe told deputies that the ordeal started with a verbal argument and that she asked Zimmerman to leave her house. Her account in the arrest report says he began packing his belongings, including a shotgun and an assault rifle. She says she began putting his things in the living room and outside the house, and he became upset. At that point, the report says, he took the shotgun out of its case.

“Scheibe then advised Zimmerman that she was calling the Police because she was nervous about why he pulled out the Shotgun. Zimmerman then pointed the Shotgun at Scheibe for a minute, and asked her if she really wanted to do that,” the report states. “Scheibe stepped back, at which time Zimmerman smashed a glass coffee table, belonging to Scheibe, with the butt of the Shotgun.”

Zimmerman told his girlfriend to leave (her own house) and smashed a pair of her sunglasses as she walked toward the front door, the report says. Scheibe told deputies that he pushed her out of the house when she got close to the door.

This is one of several brushes that Zimmerman has had with law enforcement since he was acquitted this year of murder and manslaughter in the 2012 shooting death of an unarmed teenager.

Earlier this month, police in Lake Mary, Florida, said no charges would result from an alleged domestic dispute in September between George Zimmerman and his estranged wife, Shellie Zimmerman.  Mrs Zimmerman had the violent dispute recorded on her iPad but Mr Zimmerman destroyed the device so he got off on that one.

Shellie Zimmerman said in September that she has doubts about his innocence in the Trayvon Martin case.

In my opinion, Mr. Zimmerman is a person who should not possess anything more dangerous than a wiffleball bat.   Certainly not guns of any kind.  Certainly not an assault rifle!

Too many times this young man has “shown a weapon”. I think a mental health check…for paranoia and “little man” issues are in order. It appears his only self confidence comes from a gun, making him very dangerous.

Do any of us want to read about the day Zimmerman takes his assault rifle to a crowded area of Florida or perhaps your state, your town, your neighborhood and opens fire?

This 5 foot 7 inch “big man” with his trigger finger all too ready for exercise is dangerous.
