New TARDIS Inspired Humidor Cabinet

Video at https://youtu.be/CYPS-iI5nYM

humidor2I am not a cigar smoker myself, but a client asked that I design and build him a cigar humidor based on the TARDIS.

This handmade TARDIS humidor design is not anything like a traditional style humidor. It is built to faithful TARDIS dimensions and finished off with 7 pull-out drawers (Cherry hardwood drawer fronts with high gloss lacquer finish and Kiln Dried Spanish Cedar with Kiln Dried Spanish Cedar adjustable dividers.)

The door seals tightly when locked with foam strips.

The back of this cabinet is painted in TARDIS blue but left otherwise plain. (No windows, door panels, or top sign treatment so it can sit flush against a wall.)

humidor4This humidor is FULLY LINED in Kiln Dried Spanish Cedar. Each drawer can house up to 30 cigars and every drawer has its own adjustable Spanish cedar divider. There is a built-in brass hygrometer to insure your humidity levels are maintained at the proper level.

Holds 150 large cigars or up to 280 smaller format cigars
Entire box is lined with premium kiln-dried Spanish cedar
Seven kiln-dried Spanish cedar pull-out drawers with dividers
Cherry hardwood drawer fronts with high gloss lacquer finish
Glass analog hygrometer with brass frame
Brass lock & key
Door swings a full 180°
Dimensions: 14″ wide x 13″ deep x 24″ tall

There is a lot of building in this cabinet. All the drawers, the full Spanish cedar lining. the high gloss wood finish inside, (which takes some time all by itself to dry and cure)
